My USA Top 25: From Lake Tahoe to the
Hawaiian Islands
Hey guys, my name is Ryan and I've spent most of my life living in the United States. I want to show you my favorite places in the country. The US is an incredible country with something unique to offer in each part. Let's start with my top 25 destinations.
1. Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is located on the Nevada and California border and is my favorite lake in the USA. It is the second deepest lake in America, with a depth of over 1600 feet. The water is incredibly clear and has a stunning blue color. Sand Harbor Beach is a great spot to visit, with clear water and smooth granite rocks.
2. Yosemite National Park
Yosemite National Park is famous for its massive granite cliffs, clear streams, and powerful waterfalls. One of the most iconic features of the park is Half Dome, a gigantic piece of granite that rises over 5,000 feet. Yosemite Falls, one of the world's tallest waterfalls, is also a must-see.
3. Big Sur
Located on the Pacific 101 Highway, Big Sur offers one of America's most scenic drives. With its winding turns, seaside cliffs, and views of the misty coastline, it's a breathtaking experience. Don't miss the Bixby Creek Bridge and McWay Falls.
4. California Redwoods
The California Redwoods are the tallest trees in the world, reaching up to 379 feet. These majestic trees can be found along the northern California coast, and visiting the Jedediah Smith Redwood State Park is a must.
5. Oregon Coastline
Oregon is home to some of the best coastline in the USA. Driving down the 101 Coastal Highway offers stunning views. Meyer Beach and Samuel H Boardman Scenic Corridor are two of the most beautiful spots on the Oregon coast. Cannon Beach, with its famous Haystack Rock, is also worth a visit.
6. Seattle
Seattle is a city that I absolutely love. The combination of being built right on the Puget Sound, with a skyline full of skyscrapers and Mount Rainier in the background, makes it truly unique. Pike's Place, a public market filled with fresh produce stands, unique shops, and the world's first Starbucks, is a must-visit.
7. Alaska
Alaska is a land full of breathtaking wilderness, with some of the world's biggest mountains and glaciers. It's a place where you can experience the Aurora Borealis and escape the chaos of the world. Helicopter or bush plane tours are popular to reach remote spots.
8. Oahu, Hawaii
Oahu is my favorite island in Hawaii. It offers great opportunities for hiking, surfing, and adventures. Waikiki Beach is a perfect combination of city and ocean, while the North Shore is famous for its incredible surfing spots like the Banzai Pipeline.
9. Kauai, Hawaii
Kauai, known as the Garden Island, is the oldest and most diverse of the Hawaiian Islands. The Napali Coast, with its sea cliffs and deep valleys, is one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world. Helicopter and boat tours are popular ways to experience its beauty.
Planning a budget-friendly trip? There are plenty of hikes and lookout spots you can visit instead of expensive tours. One of my favorites is the Kalalua Lookout in Kauai, which offers breathtaking views. Another must-see place in Kauai is Waimea Canyon, also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. The contrast between the red rocks and the tropical vegetation is simply stunning.
After exploring the Hawaiian Islands, head to iconic New York City. Experience the hustle and bustle of this diverse city, and don't miss walking across the Brooklyn Bridge for breathtaking views of Manhattan. Times Square is another famous tourist attraction, full of energy and lights.
If you need a nature break from the city, explore Central Park. This beautiful park offers walkways, bridges, and a serene contrast to the hectic city life.
Next, head to New England, a historical region that includes states like Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Maine. Boston, the most populous city in New England, is a thriving city with a rich history. Vermont is a great place to visit during the fall, with its beautiful foliage. Maine, known for its scenic coastline, is home to charming cities like Portland and the stunning Acadia National Park.
Traveling to the opposite side of the country, visit the Florida Keys. Driving on the bridges connecting the islands offers incredible views of the Caribbean Sea. Key West, the southernmost point in the continental US, is a great place to relax and enjoy the sunset.
Continue your journey to Wyoming to visit Yellowstone National Park. Don't miss the Grand Prismatic Spring, one of the largest hot springs in the world, and the famous Old Faithful geyser. Grand Teton National Park, located nearby, offers breathtaking scenery and incredible hikes, such as the Delta Lake hike.
Make a stop in Idaho to visit the Saint Anthony Sand Dunes, an out-of-place but epic playground for dune buggy and dirt bike enthusiasts. Finally, head to Utah to see the famous Bonneville Salt Flats, a unique location known for its vast expanse of salt. Be cautious when driving on the salt, as it can be dangerous when wet.
